Mi Pad 5 tablets of Xiaomi have been making headlines since last month. Its leaks show that the tablet will be equipped with high-end specifications and the company plans to compete with flagship and premium tablets of Samsung and Apple through it somewhere. The latest leak comes through China’s Tipster, which claims that Xioami’s upcoming tablet will come with a LCD panel with 120Hz refresh rate and will be designed according to ride hand users.
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared through Weibo that the upcoming Mi Pad will launch 5 with a panel LCD Xiaomi 120Hz. In addition, it has been reported that its design will be convenient for straight hand-working people. It will have a fingerprint sensor on the right side of the frame. Tipster also claims that the tablet will be made thinner and lighter.
It was reported that Mi Pad 5 will have a dual cell battery of 4,260mAh, which means the total battery capacity could be around 8,520mAh. Xioami can launch this tablet in two models. Its standard model will work on MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipsets and will have a Pro model with Snapdragon 870 chipsets. It is also reported that the new Xiaomi tablet will be equipped with 2K display.
All these leaked specifications show that through Mi Pad 5, the company is planning to directly rival Samsung’s flagship S-Series Tablet and Apple iPad Pro. Xiaomi had not been focusing on this segment for a long time and it seemed that the company might find profits in the tablet segment low, but now leaks about this tablet are on the rise and Xiaomi seems to have become serious about Mi Pad lineup.
There is no clarity on the launch date of Mi Pad 5 at the moment but rumours say the tablet may launch in July this year. The Gizmochina report says the tablet could cost 3,000 yuan (approximately Rs 34,000).
